I was invited by Julie de Libran to help celebrate Sonia Rykiel’s new Atelier collection with a cutout headpiece. I selected images of Sonia from the SR archive and then digitally manipulated and printed them to become the raw material for the headpiece. Sonia’s digitally transformed head and red hair is instantly recognisable in a cloud of butterflies and flowers that form the headpiece. The amazing Stephen Jones was able to make my tangle wearable.
